Oncology Nursing Overview

Nurses at Norris Cotton Cancer Center attend to the practical, social, and emotional needs of patients and their families, often forming long-term relationships. This approach translates into exceptional patient care and a supportive atmosphere within a technologically advanced facility. We believe that oncology offers endless opportunities for continued learning.

Our team comprises both experienced and novice nurses, with 60 percent of our staff certified in oncology nursing. Our Advanced Practice Nurses hold a Masters Degree, are Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), or hold other advanced certification. In addition, as part of Dartmouth-Hitchcock, our nursing staff has been awarded Magnet® status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
