Norris Cotton Cancer Center has moved to the Notre Dame Pavilion on the campus of Catholic Medical Center and has opened its new location for medical oncology and infusion services at the Notre Dame Pavilion.  As one of  only 39 National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the US, and the only cancer center to hold this distinction in New Hampshire, Norris Cotton Cancer Center provides Manchester-area patients the best care, in the right place, at the right time, every time.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Catholic Medical Center (CMC) brings research-based cancer care to southern New Hampshire. In addition to treating all forms of cancer, Norris Cotton Cancer Center at CMC offers access to clinical trials, where patients can help us research new treatments for cancer, and to on-site chemotherapy.

Patients will continue to have full access to all programs offered by Norris Cotton Cancer Center, including a research-based clinical care environment, research knowledge, clinical trials, broad access to cancer specialists and interdisciplinary teams of physician specialists—a new model for cancer care delivery that brings several cancer specialists for a particular type of cancer together at one time and greatly improves patient-centered care. All chemotherapy is delivered on-site and is prepared in-house by specially trained pharmacists.

The new location allows Norris Cotton Cancer Center to provide a more complete array of inpatient and outpatient medical oncology services—from onsite clinical laboratory services, to supportive services such as dieticians, chaplains, social workers, and care managers—in one convenient location.  Surgery and radiation therapy is coordinated with a patient's primary care physician and local healthcare facilities. For patients who may need surgery and/or radiation therapy, we coordinate treatment with local hospitals, or with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Norris Cotton Cancer Center's partnership with Catholic Medical Center reinforces its presence in Manchester and helps patients stay close to home in New Hampshire for their cancer care, even if they require advanced and specialized care or treatment as part of a clinical trial. Through our partnership with Catholic Medical Center, Norris Cotton Cancer Center can fulfill its commitment to a larger number of people in the communities it serves, by bringing the power of evidence-based cancer care and clinical trials to Manchester, where more patients and families can access them.
