Dartmouth Medical School and
Norris Cotton Cancer Center

Norris Cotton Cancer Center, a component of Dartmouth Medical School and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, invite applications for a full-time tenure–track faculty appointment in basic or translational research areas that impact on breast cancer.

Norris Cotton Cancer Center is one of just 39 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers. It emphasizes innovative, collaborative research into the causes and prevention of cancer and has a strong commitment to clinical and translational research and the development of advanced interventional therapies for cancer. Dartmouth is located in the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire/Vermont, a vibrant community offering excellent schools and outstanding quality-of-life opportunities in a beautiful rural environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with interests in molecular therapeutics, stem cell biology, or tumor microenvironment but outstanding candidates with interests in other aspects of breast cancer are encouraged to apply. The appointment may be made at the level of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor. The successful candidate will receive a primary faculty appointment in an appropriate basic science or clinical department of Dartmouth Medical School. Laboratory space will be located in the recently-completed Rubin Building, which brings together an expanding and energetic faculty with diverse interests in both basic and clinical aspects of cancer and holding appointments in several departments of Dartmouth Medical School. For more information on research activities within Norris Cotton Cancer Center visit out website at http://www.cancer.dartmouth.edu/research/index.shtml.

Candidates must have a PhD or MD degree, or both, and appropriate postdoctoral training. Candidates at the Associate or full Professor level must have a currently-funded research program and a track record of federal funding. Candidates at the Assistant level should show evidence of productive research accomplishments and demonstrated ability to pursue an independent research program. Successful candidates will receive competitive salaries, attractive start-up packages and are expected to develop and maintain an externally-funded research program and teach at the medical and graduate levels. Opportunities for patient care and participation in clinical trials are available for applicants with appropriate qualifications.

Interested applicants should submit their curriculum vitae, description of current and future research plans, copies of recent representative publications, and names and contact information for at least three references to:
