David Sidransky, MD
David Sidransky, MD, is a Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Oncology, Pathology, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, and Urology at The Johns Hopkins University. He also directs the Head and Neck Cancer Research Center at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins.
In addition, Dr. Sidransky is Principal Investigator for Johns Hopkins' Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in Head and Neck Cancer. The Kimmel Center was awarded this highly competitive grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to speed research on new treatments for head and neck cancers by linking basic science discoveries with new tests and therapies. Dr. Sidransky also chairs the Steering Committee of NCI's Early Detection Research Network.
Dr. Sidransky completed his MD, internship, and residency at Baylor College of Medicine and his Research Fellowship in Oncology at Johns Hopkins.
