Registration Drive for National Marrow Donor Program
This bone marrow registration drive is being hosted in honor of one of our DHMC employees from the Department of Orthopaedics, Ray Obar. Ray is doing well after a recent bone marrow transplant and we want to help others just like him.
Join Us on Wednesday September 24, 2008 from Noon - 6:00 p.m. at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center to participate in this important event.
When you register, you give only a cheek swab. But you stand ready to give someone hope for the future. Get the unique joy that comes from giving!
Learn more about how you can help people who need a life-saving marrow or cord blood transplant during this free donor registration event. Donor registration requires a cheek swab to determine tissue type, plus contact and health information.
Potential donors need to be:
- Between the ages of 18 and 60
- Willing to donate to any patient in need
- Able to meet certain health guidelines
There is no cost to the donor to register at this drive. Bring health insurance information if possible, as tissue typing costs may be covered by insurance.
