Biography:
In 1979 Dr. Schwartz received his BA from Stanford University and his MD in 1985 from Stansford. After completing an internal medicine residency in 1998 from New York Hospital, he did a three year h/o fellowship at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Schwartz then joined the faculty at Beth Israel from 1991 to 1995 and he left to become a Cancer Research Clinician at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. In the fall of 2000, Dr. Schwartz joined the DHMC H/O Section as an oncologist for the Breast Cancer Program.

Research Interests:
Dr. Schwartz research interests includes the study of chemoprotective agents and drug resistance and the development of Phase I trials.
