| Dr. Rigas received his BS in Biology in 1977 from Cornell University and his MD in 1984 from Medical College of Pennsylvania. In 1987, chief medical resident 1988, he completed his residency at the DHMC. In 1990 he completed his oncology fellowship from Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Center. From 1990 to 1995 he was an Instructor in Medicine at Cornell University Medical College and a Clinical Assistant Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In 1995 he joined the faculty of the DHMC as Director of the Comprehensive Thoracic Oncology Program. |
| Dr. Rigas' main clinical research interest is in thoracic oncology. He has had extensive experience in the development of investigational protocols for the study and treatment of lung cancer. |
