Research Interests:

My primary research interests involve 1) the molecular biology of gliomas and 2) the neurogenetics of human cognition, especially the genetic modifiers that affect cognitive loss in patients who have received chemotherapy.

My studies of the molecular biology of gliomas included the sequencing of the breakpoints of an ependymoma-associated translocation.

My studies of genetic modifiers that affect cognitive loss in patients who have received chemotherapy are part of an on-going collaborative effort involving Tim Ahles (Memorial Sloan Kettering) and Andrew Saykin (University of Indiana) based on a 3k custom candidate gene Affymetrix SNP array and will be continued in the Microarray Shared Resource.
