Biography:
Dr. Gautier received his undergraduate degree in 1979 from Dartmouth College and his MD in 1986 from Dartmouth Medical School. He completed his internal medicine residency in 1990 from Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship in 1993 from Duke University Medical Center. In 1993 he joined the staff of Duke University Medical Center as Director, Duke Oncology Outreach Service and in 1995 he became an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. In September 1999 he joined the Section of Hematology/Oncology at the DHMC as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. He is an Hematologist for the Hematology/BMT Program.

Research Interests:
Dr. Gautier's area of research interests include hematologic problems in the elderly and prognostic factors in survival for patients with multiple myeloma.
