National Cooperative Clinical Trials Organizations

The Cancer Center's membership in national cooperative cancer research groups gives patients access to the newest treatments. The Cancer Center has been an important contributor to the functioning of the following cooperative groups:

• Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB). Dr. Marc Ernstoff is the principal investigator for the CALGB cooperative group clinical trials at the Cancer Center and provides committee and protocol leadership within CALGB.
• Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). Dr. Alan Hartford is the principal investigator for the RTOG cooperative group clinical trials at the Cancer Center.
• Children's Oncology Group (COG). Dr. Sara Chaffee is the principal investigator for the COG cooperative group clinical trials at the Cancer Center.
• Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG). Dr. Leslie DeMars is the principal investigator for the GOG cooperative group clinical trials at the Cancer Center, through an affiliation with the University of Kentucky.
• Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG). Dr. Camilo Fadul is the principal investigator for the ECOG cooperative group clinical trials at the Cancer Center.
• American College of Surgeons Oncology Group (ACOSOG). Dr. Richard Barth is the principal investigator for the ACOSOG clinical trials at the Cancer Center.
