A Look Down the Corridors of Lab Floors

The underlying design concept of these laboratories is collaboration, and shared equipment is an expression of that concept. The sides the corridors are lined with electrical hookups for installation of various kinds of laboratory equipment. As the labs become fully occupied, this corridor will be filled with large pieces of shared equipment such as scintillation counters, ultracentrifuges, minus 80 and minus 140 freezers.

Off this corridor there are also a number of environmental rooms similar to the one in the GMP Lab. Each one can be maintained as either a warm room or a cold room for performing experiments that must be conducted at a certain temperature.
